FAQs

1. How do I know if I need an attorney?

Answer: It is difficult to say until an attorney who is experienced in personal injury work evaluates the case.

2. Will I be charged a consultation fee if I talk with you more than thirty minutes?

Answer: No. The firm evaluates each case after listening to the potential client's concerns. We may do some investigation before we can advise you if you have a claim with which we can help.

3. Do I have to pay money up front?

Answer: The Firm works on a contingency fee. That means the attorney fee is contingent on the outcome of the case; if there is no recovery, there is no fee and you owe no fees.

4. What are case costs? Who is responsible for payment if my case is unsuccessful?

Answer: Case costs are the out-of-pocket expenses to pursue a claim. The Firm advances these expenses of your behalf and collects them back at the end of the case. What is important to understand is AML does not seek to collect costs from its clients when a case is unsuccessful.

5. How long do personal injury cases take to resolve?

Answer: This depends on many factors. Generally, the process takes longer than we wish. This is especially true if the case goes into a lawsuit. Some claims are resolved with the insurance company before it is necessary to start a lawsuit. However, many times the only what to move an injured party's case is formal litigation but the vast majority of cases settle before trial.
